Double Armageddon - the dev process

First I scan in a line drawing from sketchbook.



Next I clean the image up in Photoshop. I often use adjustment layers.



Then I add colors, changing color filled layers to 'add', 'hard light', or 'multiply' mode to keep my nice black lines, and add a mask to keep the colors tight.
